Kim Wilde Talks To Northeast Music Guide About Her New Album, Touring, Aliens and Lawnmower Deth This is your first headline tour in over 30 years – what can people expect at your new shows? Why has it been so long since you toured? I have toured more in the past 20 years than I ever did in the first 20 years of my career! My band and I have headlined on several tours abroad but this is the first one in the UK, mostly due to the fact that I have not released a new album here (my Christmas album Wilde Winter Songbook apart). My fantastic experience of touring with Rewind and Let’s Rock (80’s retro shows) gave me the confidence to announce this tour, the U.K audiences have a very special place in my heart and I can’t wait to see them all up close and personal! There are 7 of us rocking out on stage tearing through my greatest hits and introducing several of the new tracks from the new ‘Here Come The Aliens’ album. I have a 12 strong entourage making sure we look as good as

KIM WILDE  Here Come The Aliens The new album, released March 16th 2018 On Wildeflower Records www . kimwilde.com  When pop moves on, it leaves some stars behind. For others – the ones who were in it for the music – it opens new avenues.  Kim Wilde’s return to recording isn’t a comeback, but it does mark a fresh start in the iconic singer’s extraordinary career. Proud of her past, but focused on the future, Kim has never stopped singing or selling out tours - she has played more shows in the past decade than ever before, finding fans in countries she never dreamed she’d visit and turning new generations on to her songs. When she walked in to the famous RAK Studios last year to begin recording ‘Here Come The Aliens’ (her first new album of original material to have a UK release since 1992), Kim felt instantly at home. Not only because RAK was where, in 1981, she recorded ‘Kids In America’ and ‘Chequered Love’, the seminal singles that made her famous at the age of

PORT CITIES AWARD WINNING CANADIAN TRIO ANNOUNCE MARCH UK SHOWS Canadian band PORT CITIES are still bathing in the afterglow of November's Nova Scotia Music Week, where they scooped no less than five awards, including album of the year, digital artist of the year and entertainer of the year.  In light of such accolades then, its only right that the band launch themselves back into the game with their trademark single 'Back To The Bottom,' a heart-racing stomper of a track that only partially disguises much deeper emotional undercurrents. As vocalist Breagh MacKinnon explains, “The song tells the story of a toxic relationship. It’s about being stuck in the cycle of coming back to something or someone that isn't good for either person; yet you still can't get out." Port Cities’ music is a perfect balance of Nashville (where much of it was recorded) and Nova Scotia (where the band reside); of the rustic and atmospheric, of indie intimacy and
